British national Fatimah Ayoade has served as the managing director of The British School of Osteopathy in London since the 10th of July, 2013. Ayoade is a recently qualified osteopath, having received her M.Ost degree from The British School of Osteopathy. She is a registrant of the General Osteopathic Council. A lifelong fan of fitness, sports, health, and wellness, Ayoade incorporates her passion for physical activity into her osteopathic rehabilitation work.
Early Life and Personal Life
Fatimah Ayoade was born in November of 1987. Her nationality is British, and she currently resides and works in London, England.
Ayoade has participated in numerous sports and physical activities, including American Football and Netball. She enjoys taking part in fitness activities.
Ayoade has an extensive educational background in the field of Biomedical Sciences. Ayoade attended The British School of Osteopathy from 2011 to 2015, when she obtained her M.Ost (Osteopathic Medicine/Osteopathy) degree. She previously attended University of Westminster for her Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biomedical Sciences. Before that, Ayoade received her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biomedical Sciences from University of Greenwich, which she attended from 2006 to 2009. Her dissertation focused on rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
Ayoade chose to attend The British School of Osteopathy because of the school’s reputation and positive environment.
After obtaining her M.Ost from The British School of Osteopathy, Ayoade worked as an Admissions Tutor at the school. She also held a second job an osteopath at a multidisciplinary clinic called The Garden Clinic, which was located near her home. In addition to employing the services of an osteopath, the clinic includes an acupuncturist, chiropractor, physiotherapist, podiatrist, sports rehabilitation therapist, and a sports therapist. Here, Ayoade was able to gain valuable experience working with clients, helping them move, stretch, and improve joint and muscle functioning.
Ayoade also has eight years of experience in working customer services for the Kent County Council in Maidstone, England.
Ayoade’s education and lifelong participation in sports and fitness activities have given her an in-depth insight into sports related injuries and how to treat them. As a part of her career, she takes pride in being able to rehabilitate and empower patients with sports related injuries.
Currently, Ayoade sits on the Board of Directors at the British School of Osteopathy. She was accepted into the Board of Directors on the 10th of July, 2013. This appointment is quite impressive, as Ayoade was only 26 at the time of her appointment. This position allows her to offer support to newly qualified osteopaths.
Ayoade has worked with Michelle Gander, who was appointed to the Board position of Head Of Planning and Resources on the 20th of June, 2012 and resigned on 25th June, 2014. Ayoade has also worked with Joanna Frances Smith (secretary at The British School of Osteopathy) and Francesca Wiggins. Wiggins was appointed to the position of Director at the British School of Osteopathy on the 10th of July, 2013.
